Origami exhibition in Poland

We are preparing the origami exhibition. The exhibition will be opened for public from 14 to 26 October 2000 in the Center of Japanese Art & Technology, National Museum in Krakow, Poland. The Center of Japanese Art and Technology is a part of Krakow-Kyoto Foundation, founded by Andrzej Wajda, film director, recent Oscar prize winner. The location is beautiful, in the center of Cracow, on the bank of Wisla river, just opposite than Royal Castle Wawel. During the exhibition we will also organize origami workshop. As far as we know, this exhibition will be the first origami exhibition in Poland. More information will be available soon on our web page.

We want to show both traditional models and new trends in modern origami. We want to show the variety of shape and colors. Our aim is to change the opinion that origami is only for children.

We want to show models all over the world, not only our own. We are looking for support from other origami people. If you are willing to help us, send us one of your models. We can send it back to you after the exhibition or leave it at the National Museum origami collection - it's up to you.

Everybody traveling to Poland (or nearby) is warmly invited to visit our exhibition.
